Materials List

Materials and equipment required:

For drawing practice you will need to arrange a complex subject such as a vase of flowers, a pot of pencils, a collection of jars, boxes or vessels from the kitchen, arranged so that they overlap.
A piece of card that can be used to make a viewfinder, roughly 6” x 4” will suffice
Good quality cartridge paper sketchbook, minimum size A4 or 9 x 12” up to A2 or 16 x 20”
HB or 2B pencil or sharpened piece of HB vine charcoal
Eraser (that does not smudge your drawing material)
Ruler
Make sure you have an easel or table top easel that permits you to support your drawing surface upright, so that you are drawing onto a vertical or steeply angled plane. This will greatly improve your accuracy and it will save you from straining your neck.
